Specialist Travel for School Trips

Fregata Travel have organised many successful school tours to countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic & Hungary over the past 30 years. The difference between us and other companies that offer school trips is that we actually specialise in a specific area - Central and Eastern Europe. This means that, unlike companies that offer school tours worldwide or even just school tours to Europe, we have a genuine in depth knowledge of your destination. This enables you to get a high level of both value and experience.

It is not possible to give set prices for group trips that will always give the best value as the price can vary greatly depending on how busy the flights are for the dates concerned. However, if you are able to follow the tips below you will have the best possible chance of getting a low price.

Fregata's tips for getting the best price for your school trip:

Avoid weekend travel. This is when most tourists wish to travel, so flight prices tend to be higher.
Ideal group size is c. 40 travellers. Economies of scale only apply up to a certain point.
Try to book as far in advance as possible.
If possible, be flexible with your date of travel.
Remember prices are seasonal, so travelling November to March will be cheapest.

So, price will vary depending on how many travel and when, but as an example we booked a group of 27 on a school trip to Poland last November.

For £219 per person sharing a triple room & £259 in a single room we arranged..

Flights Gatwick-Krakow-Gatwick with Easyjet, (inc. taxes and 1 checked bag)
2 nights bed and breakfast accommodation at the 3 star Hotel Atrium
Return airport transfers by private coach
A tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau with private coach and English speaking guide.

The above is really about as basic, and therefore as cheap, as it gets. Something like the trip we have recently arranged for a school who travelling in March 2013 is more elaborate.

For £373 per person sharing we arranged..

Flights with Wizzair from Luton to Katowice and v.v, (inc. taxes and 1 checked bag).
3 nights half board accommodation at the central, 4 star Park Inn.
Return airport transfers
Excursions to Auschwitz and Weiliczka Salt Mines, and also a city tour, all with English speaking guide and transport included.
A 1 hour talk given by a Holocaust survivor at the Galicija Jewish Museum.
Dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.
An evening's 10 Pin Bowling.

Though the majority of flights tend to go from London airports, it is not a problem to use regional airports and airlines other than those used for the 2 examples given above.
